Purpose: To enhance the features of the publicly-owned land and water at Joe Pool Lake in order to improve the quality of life of the people who live nearby and beyond.

Goal: To establish Joe Pool Lake as Texas’s premier destination for non-motorized outdoor activities, offering a depth and quality of experiences worthy of designation as a National Park Service National Recreation Area.
